As our 2024 financial year drew to a close, I recently reviewed our achievements, and what stands out isn't just the numbers – it's the real impact we're making in people's lives.

At Life Health Solutions, we're more than just colleagues – we're a team meaningful measurable difference. Every day, I witness the incredible impact of your work, and it inspires me, whether you're supporting a client through a difficult time or developing innovative solutions to complex challenges. As we navigate today's fast-changing world together, it's this shared purpose and positive spirit that sets us apart. From supporting a young employee through a mental health challenge, to helping a worker safely return after illness, to providing vital wellness services to thousands across our partnerships – each success story represents a life touched, a family supported, a workplace made healthier. In today's world where challenges are increasingly complex, I'm proud to see how our team continues to rise to these with compassion and expertise.

In this edition of my newsletter, we will cover new partnerships, wellness initiatives, and our goals for the new financial year. Let’s together, look ahead with optimism and pride.

Prioritising mental health in the workplace

In recognition of World Mental Health Day, I want to take a moment to reflect on the importance of mental health. Our latest data shows an increase in mental health challenges, particularly among those aged 30-39. It’s also concerning to see that about 11% of those affected are under 19.

Let's be clear, there's no shame in struggling with mental health. Each of us can play a role in breaking down stigma by listening without judgment, showing empathy, and creating safe spaces for open conversations. When someone trusts us enough to share their mental health challenges, our response can make all the difference.

Through our wellness programmes—including counselling, health resources, financial coaching, and more—you’re making a real difference in the lives of our clients every day. Thank you for providing support that truly helps people feel valued, heard, and cared for.

I want to take a moment to share some of our recent client wins and partnerships, showcasing our continued growth in wellness and healthcare solutions. Congratulations and thank you to everyone involved in securing these contracts.

In the public sector, we're now supporting over 1,400 lives through partnerships with NERSA, Seda, and the Gauteng Department of Economic Development. This expansion in government administration shows growing recognition of our expertise in wellness solutions.

    • Life Healthcare Medical Surveillance Project (health & medical services) provides Occupational Health services supporting 14,000 lives nationally.
    • SBSA Incapacity Management (financial services) offers Wellness services supporting 5,000 lives in Inland South.
    • Hulamin (manufacturing & industrial) receives Wellness services supporting 2,400 lives in Coast East.
    • PEP DC (logistics & supply chain) provides Occupational Health services covering 800 lives in Coast East.
    • Seda – EWP (government administration) delivers Wellness services supporting 703 lives in Inland South.

Celebrating the opening of the Life Health Solutions Clinic at Fuchs Electronics

I am excited to announce the opening of our onsite occupational health clinic at Fuchs Electronics in Alrode, Alberton. Fuchs, part of the Reunert Group, has trusted us to provide essential health services for their employees. The clinic opened on 11 September 2024, marking a significant step in our goal to bring quality healthcare to more people.
