ViGOR goes live at pilot sites

The ViGOR Occupational & Primary Health Clinical Management system went live on 10 November 2023 and has rolled out to various Life Health Solutions pilot sites across the country.

Ahead of the national rollout planned for 2024, it was crucial for us to thoroughly pilot the system to ensure we deliver a fit-for-purpose digital system at our clinics. The Gqeberha, PE offsite clinic was the first site to go live and use the new system. It was also the first to conduct a live medical assessment using the digital system.

In total, ViGOR went live at 10 sites – six offsite clinics (Midrand, Witbank, Silverton, Pinetown, PE, and Sasol Offsite Bluff) as well as four client sites (Simba Pepsico, Mars Africa, Samancor Ferrometals and Jubilee/Dikwena). In addition, the system was successfully rolled out to seven primary healthcare facilities, namely MTN, TIH, JTI, Nutun, Total Energies, Pepclo, and Life Healthcare.

Their process made simpler

The system has certainly made life better for our clinic staff. Among its many exceptional functionalities, ViGOR allows clinic staff to digitally capture medical assessments, replacing the need for paper records. They can capture and update medical information only once, eliminating double-work and duplication of files. Furthermore, our doctors (Medical Occupational Practitioners) can now digitally access, review, and sign off medical Certificates of Fitness. Using ViGOR means that our clinic staff and medical practitioners will have more time to do what they do best: provide caring and compassionate service to our customers and the communities they serve.

It takes a village

The incredible success of the pilots would not have been possible without the involvement of various teams. Firstly, we’d like to commend the incredible regional teams for enthusiastically embracing the new online system and flawlessly implementing it. We also express our heartfelt gratitude to the Chief Operations Executive, Bruce Janssens, as well as Dr Leanne Mandim, Dr Jenny Sapire, Coleen Tiedemann, Aletta Collins and all the RQM's, Lani Uys, and the project team for their handholding and continuous support. We also wish to thank Masizame Lutango, Zanele Motela, Phakamani Mbatha, Tanya Mostert, Marischka Stevens, Shannon Gunkel, Liesel van Oudenhove, Arran Valkim and Mario Pinto for their contributions to the design, development and implementation of the ViGOR system.

To all our staff, your unwavering dedication and relentless efforts have played a pivotal role in ensuring the success of our business transition from paper to paperless. Thank you!
