We are proud to announce the graduates of the Novia One Business Administration and Customer Management learnership programmes.

For a second year, Life Health Solutions has offered learnerships to employees, helping them acquire new business skills, upskill themselves, and increase their value in the workplace. Two NQF 5 learnership programmes were offered —Business Administration and Customer Management— of which twenty individuals enrolled.

In the training facilitated by our training partner (Novia One Business School), students were required to attend classes twice a month from June to December 2023 and complete an assignment at the end of each module. For their final assessment, each group presented their ideas to the Shark Tank panel composed of Bruce Janssens (Chief Operations Executive), Dr Jenny Sapire (Clinical Standards Specialist), Johanna Jorgensen (Regional Business Manager), Lani Uys (Product Development Manager), and Julie Stark (Sales Manager). Following the one-year programme, their scores were deliberated on, and the top students were announced at the virtual graduation ceremony on 23 April.

Johanita Bester won the award for top Business Administration graduate, and Candice Wax won the award for top Customer Management graduate. Johanita Bester and Zoelfa Jacobs were the Shark Tank winners for the Business Administration programme, and Idah Ncube, Kholofelo Manoko, and Retha Preston were the Shark Tank winners for the Customer Management programme.

We would like to send a special shout-out to Johanita Bester since this is her first graduation. Johanita, you are a shining example for others to follow. You have accomplished something exceptional, and we are extremely proud of you! 🙌

At the ceremony, Bruce Janssens commended the graduates for persevering and going the extra mile over and above their day-to-day workload. “As a company, we could not have had a better group of enthusiastic participants for the programme”, he says. He encouraged them to continue upskilling themselves with other courses to further their personal careers. The Novia One course facilitator, Hendrik Nel, was particularly impressed with their passion throughout and with the collaboration and ideas they presented.

Based on their individual achievements and overall accolades, these students will undoubtedly enjoy a fulfilling career and whose skills the business will benefit from as well.

We would also like to thank Dr Leanne Mandim and Natania Chandler, for spearheading the programme and supporting the graduates. Further, we would like to thank Bruce Janssens, our senior management, and the RBMs for their support.

To our CEO, Pennie Phillips, thank you for supporting this programme and, more importantly, for always encouraging all employees to be better.

Please join us in congratulating the graduate class of 2023!
